Email Marketing Tips
The most common mistake people have is explaining everything in the email to members hoping that if you make it sound great they will click ad buy. In reality I have found this is the worst way to email marketing. The idea of email marketing is to create suspense, you want it to sounds great without telling them what exactly it is. Your job is to create curiosity with the read so they want to learn more.
Another great point I want to bring up is the fact one email is never enough. You should have a series of emails for opens and non-opens. For the non-opens its easy you can keep the same content but change the headline. They have not read your content yet so there is no need to change. For the people who opened your email they should be split in two those that clicked and those that didn’t. For the people who clicked they have already seen the page and were not interested so the next email they would get is a offer is closing in 1 hour email and leave it there. For the opens with no clicks I would email them 3-5 times total changing the content so it don’t sound like you are giving them the same offer. Remember email marketing is getting to user to click the link. One they click the email side is done now it’s time for the landing page to do its job and convert the user. I will get into landing pages on another post.
I am always asked which email provider to go with, hands down Aweber is the one which allows you unlimited emails and the pricing is based on subscribers.
This is very important try not to use many special characters in your email or the word free. Many times when doing this the spam score increases and your email is more likely to end up in someone’s spam box rather than in their mail email box.
